Metropolitan Police Sikh Association

The Metropolitan Police Sikh Association (MPSA) is dedicated to serving and supporting Sikh officers and staff within the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS). Founded in February 1997, the MPSA creates a vital social and cultural forum for its members through social functions and celebrations rooted in the Sikh calendar. Located in London, GB, the MPSA plays a pivotal role in fostering a strong sense of community and shared identity among Sikh professionals in law enforcement.

The Metropolitan Police Sikh Association actively assists the MPS in devising and implementing strategies aimed at attracting, retaining, and developing Sikh members. Through dialogue, representation, mentoring, and welfare support, the MPSA offers crucial assistance to both its members and the MPS/Mayor of London Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC). The association serves as a key focus group for addressing Sikh issues and promoting a deeper understanding of Sikh faith and culture throughout the Police Service.

Committed to improving relations and confidence between the MPS/MOPAC and the Sikh Community, the Metropolitan Police Sikh Association actively participates in policy development, collaborating closely on police projects, policies, and strategies. The MPSA encourages Sikh Police Personnel to join its ranks and works in partnership with other Local Associations and the National Sikh Police Association (NSPA).
