African Food Systems Parliamentary Network

The African Food Systems Parliamentary Network (AFSPaN) is dedicated to advancing the transformation of African agrifood systems. Established in March 2023, AFSPaN supports the development of Elected Country Parliamentary Champions who are capable of driving impactful change at local, national, regional, and continental levels through the African Union's Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Programme (CAADP). The African Food Systems Parliamentary Network focuses on fostering parliamentary leadership to enhance policy-making and public investments across the continent.

AFSPaN’s mission emphasizes the critical role parliamentarians play in the domestication of CAADP at the national level.
