Southeast Asia Centre of Asia-Pacific Excellence

The Southeast Asia Centre of Asia-Pacific Excellence is dedicated to enhancing engagement between New Zealand and the ten ASEAN member countries, as well as Timor-Leste. Hosted by Victoria University of Wellington in partnership with consortium universities, the Centre operates with the support of the New Zealand government.

Located at 23 Lambton Quay, Wellington, 6011, NZ, the Southeast Asia Centre of Asia-Pacific Excellence focuses on fostering a deeper understanding of Southeast Asian economies, languages, cultures, and business protocols among New Zealand exporters, young people, and government agencies. Through various programs and initiatives, the Centre aims to demonstrate the value of strengthening ties with these important economies.
