CCPR - Centre for Civil and Political Rights

The Centre for Civil and Political Rights (CCPR) is dedicated to promoting the engagement of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) within the United Nations Human Rights Committee. Established in 2008, CCPR envisions the complete and universal realization of the rights outlined in the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) and its two Optional Protocols.

Located in Geneva at Rue de Varembé 1, 1202, CH, the CCPR Centre strives to fulfill its vision by facilitating the application of the ICCPR and promoting the implementation of the Human Rights Committee recommendations. This is achieved primarily through close collaboration with national NGOs and by strengthening the Human Rights Committee itself. CCPR’s work is focused on ensuring that civil and political rights are upheld globally.
