Het Goud van Noordwest is dedicated to bolstering the economic structure of the Northwest Friesland region through a unique collaboration between education, government, and entrepreneurs. Since 2024, Het Goud van Noordwest has been funded by the Regio Deals Rijksoverheid, building on initial support from the Municipality of Waadhoeke, Harlingen, and the rural border area of the Municipality of Leeuwarden from 2022-2023. The program strategically selects business cases to reinforce the region's strengths and potential. Het Goud van Noordwest aims to ensure the region thrives economically while preserving its unique cultural identity and the well-being of its residents.
