SARC Harford County is dedicated to ending domestic violence, sexual violence, and stalking, providing crucial aid to victims, and fostering a society free from abuse and fear. Established in 1978, SARC Harford County emerged from a grassroots movement by Harford Countians who recognized the urgent need for services and support for victims of sexual violence. The organization quickly expanded its focus to include victims of domestic violence, aligning with national statistics at the time.

Located in Bel Air, MD, at P.O. Box 1207, Bel Air, MD 21014, US, SARC Harford County has grown significantly since its inception. The agency now encompasses a comprehensive domestic violence program serving victims, batterers, and children; a sexual violence program supporting adult and child victims; a legal advocacy program for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault; a 28-bed emergency shelter; community outreach and education services; and a 24-hour helpline.
