Mildmay Uganda

Mildmay Uganda is a distinguished local NGO dedicated to comprehensive care, training, and research in HIV/AIDS and other critical health priorities. Established in 1998, Mildmay Uganda envisions "Communities Transformed for Sustainable Health" and is committed to modeling quality and sustainable prevention, care, and treatment of HIV and other health challenges through a family-centered approach, coupled with robust training, education, and research initiatives.

Operating from its primary address at 10 km off Kampala - Entebbe Road, Naziba Hill, Lweza, PO Box 24985, Kampala, UG, Mildmay Uganda works in close partnership with the Ministry of Health and the leadership of 16 supported districts in central Uganda. With significant support from PEPFAR through CDC, Mildmay Uganda impacts a vast number of lives, testing over 500,000 people annually, with a focus on children. The organization provides care for over 84,000 individuals, ensuring 80% receive life-saving ARVs. Mildmay Uganda extends its support to over 16,000 OVCs and their families, enabling access to essential care and economic empowerment services, while reaching over 6,000 children living with HIV. Additionally, they test over 65,000 pregnant women each year and bolster the healthcare system by supporting over 286 salaried health workers in the region and training over 5,000 professionals annually. Mildmay Uganda is also committed to cervical cancer screening, treatment, and palliation, having supported 10 sites across Uganda and enabling over 20,000 women to access screening services.
