The Coalition CC

The Coalition CC is dedicated to fostering unity and empowerment within higher education. Originating in Los Angeles in 2019, The Coalition CC was formed through the collaboration of three prominent higher education organizations, driven by a shared commitment to addressing inequity within the California Community College system. These founding organizations include the African American Male Education Network and Development (A2MEND), Asian Pacific Americans in Higher Education (APAHE), and California Community College Organizacion de Latinx Empowerment Guidance & Advocacy for Success (COLEGAS). The Coalition CC embraces a ground-up community empowerment strategy, nurturing leadership opportunities and advocating for impactful change.

Located primarily in Northern and Southern, CA, The Coalition CC is committed to solidarity and collaborative action. By facilitating leadership development and promoting community-driven solutions, The Coalition CC addresses critical challenges and fosters an environment of equity and success for all students. The Coalition CC operates as a nonprofit, with a focus on maximizing its positive influence through strategic initiatives and partnerships.
