Pre-Physical and Occupational Therapy Club

The Pre-Physical and Occupational Therapy Club is dedicated to building a strong community for students pursuing careers in Physical and Occupational Therapy. The club provides essential support, resources, and assistance to navigate the path into these rewarding fields. Through a variety of engaging activities, the Pre-Physical and Occupational Therapy Club fosters a collaborative environment where students can thrive.

Members of the Pre-Physical and Occupational Therapy Club benefit from attending monthly meetings, participating in fundraising events, and engaging in community service and shadowing opportunities. These meetings feature guest speakers, including practicing physical and occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, strength and conditioning coaches, current graduate students, academic advisors, and representatives from GRE prep services. Such diverse perspectives provide invaluable insights and guidance for aspiring therapists.

The Pre-Physical and Occupational Therapy Club also offers invaluable job shadowing opportunities, connecting students with experienced physical therapists in the Ann Arbor area and within the University of Michigan Health System. Networking with peers and alumni is highly encouraged, allowing students to gain advice from upperclassmen about schools, applications, and the PTCAS/OTCAS systems, as well as fostering collaboration with other students in Kinesiology and pre-health courses.
