The Ghana Scholarship Secretariat is dedicated to empowering lives and transforming Ghana through higher education and human resource development. Established in 2020, the Secretariat operates as an extra-ministerial body under the Office of the President, administering all government scholarships both locally and abroad. The Ghana Scholarship Secretariat's main focus is on enhancing human capital, increasing productivity, and supporting labor relations in alignment with the Ghana Shared Growth and Development Agenda (GSGDA) and the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The Ghana Scholarship Secretariat is committed to providing quality education and addressing the human resource deficit in critical fields such as Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). By offering scholarships, internships, and exchange programs, the Secretariat aims to increase access to quality training for deserving students at the tertiary education level.
