BIOMISA Lab

BIOMISA Lab is a leading higher education and research institution dedicated to advancing the fields of biomedical image and signal analysis. Founded in 2013 within the Department of Computer Engineering at NUST College of EME, Rawalpindi, Pakistan, BIOMISA Lab has been at the forefront of developing innovative algorithms for biometrics and computer-aided diagnostic (CAD) systems. These systems are designed for critical medical applications, leveraging state-of-the-art image/signal processing, pattern recognition, and deep learning techniques. BIOMISA Lab is located at the National University of Science and Technology in Islamabad, PK.

Through a collaborative synergy with the Emerging Technologies Lab (ETL), BIOMISA Lab nurtures multifaceted research and development activities among undergraduate students. Since its physical establishment in the computer engineering department in 2016, BIOMISA/ETL has provided invaluable opportunities for both undergraduate and postgraduate students to engage in cutting-edge research. The lab is committed to promoting robust R&D activities, equipping students with essential professional skills, and fostering a strong research aptitude through internships and research assistantships.
