The Battery Workforce Challenge is dedicated to developing the next generation of the automotive workforce. As a premier collegiate engineering competition, the Battery Workforce Challenge prepares students for high-demand careers in automotive engineering, advanced manufacturing, and EV battery technology. Supported by the U.S. Department of Energy and Stellantis, and managed by Argonne National Laboratory, this program offers invaluable hands-on experience in battery design, vehicle integration, and supply chain innovation.

Through the Battery Workforce Challenge, students engage in real-world training, working with cutting-edge engineering, technology, and automotive innovation. With 12 university and vocational teams designing, testing, and integrating battery systems into a Ram ProMaster EV, the program fosters a dynamic learning environment and promotes practical skill development.
