Born from a profound recognition of existing health inequities, Aequitas Health aims to empower medical students to become impactful community leaders, driving positive change in clinical practices and local neighborhoods.

Established in 2021, Aequitas Health envisions a society of fellows passionately committed to eradicating health disparities in all forms. The inaugural chapter, formed at the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine, focuses on Native American communities in South Dakota and the health disparities prevalent in Black and Latinx communities.
