EXPRESS - Interreg Europe project is dedicated to improving regional policies and increasing regions' energy self-sufficiency and use of renewable energy. Through the European regions promoting renewable energy self-sufficiency program from 2023 to 2027, EXPRESS seeks to bolster the share of renewable energy sources within participating regions.
The EXPRESS project aims to substantially decrease the regions’ dependency on energy imports and fossil fuels. By improving regional policies, EXPRESS contributes to increasing energy self-sufficiency. The project's collaborative efforts are funded by the Interreg Europe program, fostering a network of regions committed to sustainable energy practices. With primary offices in Joensuu, FI and additional locations in Kilkenny, IE, Paris, FR, Ancona, IT, Rzeszów, PL, Debrecen, HU, Alba Iulia, RO and Čakovec, HR, EXPRESS operates across Europe.
