Sa-Dhan is a pioneering and impactful organization at the forefront of India's financial inclusion landscape. As the first and largest association of community development finance institutions in India, Sa-Dhan plays a vital role in strengthening the microfinance sector and fostering inclusive impact finance. Established in 1999, Sa-Dhan serves as an RBI-appointed Self-Regulatory Organization (SRO) for Microfinance Institutions, collaborating with policymakers, funders, banks, governments, researchers, and practitioners to promote a deeper understanding of the sector.

With a membership exceeding 220 institutions operating across 33 states/UTs and over 600 districts, Sa-Dhan's reach extends to approximately 44 million clients, facilitating loans outstanding of over ₹1,27,801 crores. The organization actively promotes responsible lending practices, ethical conduct, and sustainable development within the microfinance industry. Recognized as a National Support Organization (NSO) by the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM), Sa-Dhan is committed to driving positive social and economic change.
