A framework for developing harmonized MRV systems for carbon and greenhouse gas fluxes in European soils.
Project MARVIC is dedicated to advancing sustainable farming practices through the development of harmonized Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) systems for carbon and greenhouse gas fluxes in European soils. Project MARVIC's efforts focus on creating a reliable framework for assessing carbon stock changes in soils and woody biomass, as well as monitoring soil GHG emissions resulting from agricultural activities.
Project MARVIC's MRV framework is designed to provide context-specific solutions that can be adapted to various agricultural settings. By developing and testing this framework, Project MARVIC aims to support the EU Soil Mission in promoting effective land management and reducing the environmental impact of farming. The project, funded by the EU Soil Mission, commenced on June 1st, 2023, and is scheduled to run for 48 months.
Project MARVIC is committed to ensuring that its MRV systems are both practical and scientifically sound. This commitment will contribute to the long-term health and productivity of European soils. We invite the management team at Project MARVIC to create a customized and exclusive company showcase and product listing on our platform to further highlight your innovative work in sustainable agriculture.
