PrAEctiCe

PrAEctiCe is dedicated to advancing sustainable agriculture and supporting smallholder farmers in East Africa through innovative agroecological practices. As a Horizon Europe project funded by the European Commission, PrAEctiCe is committed to developing a novel agroecology indicator set tailored for the region. This initiative aims to empower farmers by providing them with the tools and knowledge necessary for a successful agroecological transition.

PrAEctiCe goes beyond traditional indicator frameworks by implementing a decision support tool designed for agroecology advisors. This tool will assist in selecting the most appropriate combination of agroecological farming practices within local contexts. By focusing on circular water-energy-nutrient systems of integrated aqua-agriculture, PrAEctiCe explores the potential of efficient farming methods that minimize climate impact.

With locations in Brussels, BE; Kisumu, KE; Namulonge, UG; and Morogoro, TZ, PrAEctiCe is strategically positioned to drive meaningful change in the agricultural landscape.
