LiveSeeding is at the forefront of fostering sustainable local food systems through its dedication to high-quality organic seeds. As an EU Horizon Europe-funded innovation project, LiveSeeding operates from 2022 to 2026 with the core objective of enhancing the organic sector’s growth. Bringing together a consortium of 37 partners across 17 European countries, LiveSeeding focuses on delivering diverse cultivars specifically tailored for organic farming practices.

LiveSeeding's mission encompasses increasing and optimizing crop diversity within organic farming systems, advancing cultivar testing, and boosting the supply of organic seeds. The project enhances transparency in the organic seed market while ensuring efficient scaling of organic seed and breeding initiatives. By promoting organic breeding supported by value chain partners, LiveSeeding champions capacity building and participatory knowledge creation from seed to plate.
