Located at Imam Khomeini Blvd., Meshkin Dasht Road, Standard Square, Karaj, Alborz 31779-93545, IR, SWRI operates with seven specialized research departments. Staffed by approximately 40 scientific experts, predominantly PhD holders at the headquarters, and supported by over 150 scientific staff across more than 30 research centers, the Soil and Water Research Institute (SWRI) is committed to enhancing soil fertility, promoting efficient water use, and addressing environmental challenges.

Since its establishment in 1952, the Soil and Water Research Institute (SWRI) has been at the forefront of geomorphology, soil salinity, soil-plant-atmosphere relations, and hydrological modeling. موسسه تحقیقات خاک و آب (SWRI) از زمان تأسیس در سال 1952، در خط مقدم ژئومورفولوژی، شوری خاک، روابط خاک-گیاه-اتمسفر و مدل سازی هیدرولوژیکی قرار داشته است. تمرکز موسسه تحقیقات خاک و آب (SWRI) شامل کیفیت خاک، بیوتکنولوژی، آلودگی محیط زیست، کارایی استفاده از آب کشاورزی و حفاظت از خاک نیز می باشد. SWRI به تکامل خود ادامه می دهد و پیشرفت هایی را در مدیریت خاک و آب، اصلاح و انطباق با تغییرات آب و هوایی ایجاد می کند.
