SELINA (Horizon Europe)

SELINA (Horizon Europe) is dedicated to providing guidance for evidence-based decision-making, supporting the protection, restoration, and sustainable use of our environment. As a collaborative effort of experts from numerous partner organizations across Europe and beyond, SELINA sets new standards for international cooperation to promote Ecosystem Services (ES) and Biodiversity (BD) conservation, enhancing Ecosystem Conditions (EC).

Through EU-wide Demonstration Projects (DPs), thematic workshops, and multi-disciplinary Communities of Practice (CoPs), SELINA is producing a Compendium of Guidance, a model designed to support decision-making aligned with the European Union’s long-term plan for nature protection and ecosystem restoration. This initiative paves the way toward the transformative societal change required to achieve the ambitious goals of the European Biodiversity Strategy 2030 and the Green Deal.
