RAIN Northants

RAIN Northants is dedicated to providing comprehensive environmental services with a focus on resilience and innovation. As a government agency established in 2020, RAIN Northants operates as a pivotal component of the Resilience And Innovation Northants (RAIN) project, spearheaded by West Northants Council in collaboration with North Northants Council. This initiative is part of the Government’s Flood and Coastal Resilience Innovation programme, encompassing 25 nationwide projects.

Located at One Angel Square, Angel Street, Northampton, NN1 1ED, GB, RAIN Northants works closely with communities within the Harpers Brook and Wootton Brook river catchments. The organization trials flood resilience measures at various levels—catchment-wide, community-based, and individual property-focused—aiming to enhance flood readiness and community resilience through natural flood management and property flood resilience strategies.
