MoniFun

MoniFun is dedicated to co-creating a blueprint for a harmonized European Forest Multifunctionality Monitoring System (EFMMS). Funded by the EU, MoniFun addresses the critical challenges posed by climate change and environmental stressors, aiming to support climate action and biodiversity preservation across Europe's multifunctional forests. The project unites partners from various European countries, including Finland, Spain, Italy, Czech Republic, Germany, Norway, Netherlands, Sweden, Austria, Switzerland, and Denmark, working collaboratively to develop a comprehensive monitoring system.

MoniFun's efforts are essential because existing monitoring systems do not provide the necessary information for policymakers and stakeholders. Through research and innovation, MoniFun strives to bridge this gap and offer actionable insights. With its headquarters in Gülzow, DE, MoniFun is committed to fostering a multi-actor approach and engaging stakeholders to ensure the EFMMS meets the diverse needs of the European forestry sector.
