iMERMAID EU is dedicated to protecting the Mediterranean Sea basin through innovative environmental services. As an EU-funded project, iMERMAID EU develops, deploys, and demonstrates advanced solutions to prevent, monitor, and remedy toxic chemical pollution. The project focuses on creating a comprehensive framework that guides policymaking and transforms societal perceptions of chemical usage, emissions, and pollution.

iMERMAID EU aims to develop next-generation sensor and remediation technologies to effectively monitor and remove prioritized chemicals at their source, minimizing upstream pollution. Through a collaborative effort, iMERMAID EU enhances knowledge and awareness of contaminants of emerging concern (CoEC) while strengthening regulations, expanding economic possibilities, and improving the standard of living for EU residents.
