CLIMABOROUGH stands at the forefront of environmental innovation, dedicated to pioneering solutions for climate change adaptation and mitigation. As an Innovation project co-funded by the European Union within the Horizon Europe framework and the "100 Climate-neutral and smart cities" mission, CLIMABOROUGH collaborates with 14 cities, including 7 selected for their commitment to ecological and digital transformation. The organization’s efforts focus on testing ClimHub, Climate Sandbox, and Climate Service concepts, empowering cities to enhance urban and spatial planning through data-driven decision-making, including advanced Geographic Information Systems.

Located in Firenze, IT, CLIMABOROUGH is committed to fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange among cities and stakeholders. The organization enhances an open set of tools for climate transition in cities and boosts the exchange of experimental good practices and lessons learned. The collective intelligence of local stakeholders is harnessed for collaborative solution development. The goal is to empower cities to meet climate neutrality by 2050.

CLIMABOROUGH aims to bridge the gap between the design and implementation of urban innovations. By building ClimHubs of Cities and solution providers, defining Climate Services as a model strategy, and field-testing the Climate Sandbox concept, CLIMABOROUGH monitors and assesses progress in achieving climate neutrality.
