The Delaware Center for Horticulture (DCH) is dedicated to cultivating a greener community by inspiring appreciation and improvement of our environment through horticulture, education, and conservation. Founded in 1977, The Delaware Center for Horticulture realizes its mission through comprehensive Education and Outreach programs, impactful Community Forestry initiatives, and innovative Urban Agriculture projects. Located at its primary address at 1810 North Dupont Street, Wilmington, DE 19806, US, and with an additional location at 12th and Brandywine Streets, Wilmington, DE 19801, US, the center has planted and cared for over 15,000 trees and supports more than 30 community gardens, including Wilmington's first urban farm.
The Delaware Center for Horticulture beautifies gateways and roadsides through its Public Landscapes program, integrating water management and urban-tolerant plants into sustainable landscape design. The updated facility in Wilmington's Trolley Square neighborhood features an accessible public garden, an art gallery, and showcases of sustainable building design.
