EMBA Energy Elektrik Ticaret A.Ş. is a dynamic company focused on electric power generation and the trading of electricity. Based in Besiktas, Istanbul, EMBA Energy Elektrik Ticaret A.Ş. holds a Supply License No. ETS/9582-9/04656 from the Energy Market Regulatory Authority, dated 01/10/2020, enabling the company to actively engage in the trade, sales to free consumers, import, and export of electric power in Turkey.

The parent company, EMBA Elektrik Üretim A.Ş., is a joint venture between Shanghai Electric Power Co., Ltd. (SEP), Avic-Intl Project Engineering Company, and local investors. This collaboration is establishing a 2x 660 MW imported coal-fired thermal power plant in Turkey. The first 660 MW unit has already completed the Ministry of Energy's provisional acceptance and has commenced commercial operations. Efforts to commission the second unit are ongoing.

Located in Sugözü Village, Yumurtalık District, Adana, the power plant is projected to operate for 8,000 hours annually, generating 11.5 billion kWh of electric power.
