AVA (Alliance against Violence & Adversity) is dedicated to creating transformative capacity within population (community) health and social services. The organization's primary focus is to promote the health and wellness of girls, women, and gender-diverse individuals who are at risk or affected by violence and adversity throughout their lives.

AVA achieves this through a collaborative and innovative training platform that spans multiple sectors, disciplines, and jurisdictions. Additionally, AVA encompasses a Women's and Girls' Health Hub, two Indigenous Women's and Girls' Health Hubs, and a newly funded research initiative. All these components are united by the common goal of addressing gender-based violence and improving outcomes for women, girls, and gender-diverse people.
