The Connecticut Invention Convention (CIC) is an internationally recognized nonprofit educational program dedicated to fostering critical thinking skills in children from kindergarten through 12th grade. Through invention, innovation, and entrepreneurship, the CIC encourages interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Operating continuously since the 1983-1984 school year, the Connecticut Invention Convention has impacted an estimated 300,000 students in Connecticut.
The Connecticut Invention Convention provides a valuable learning curriculum to over 17,000 students annually, spanning more than 275 schools across Connecticut. A significant number of these students advance to compete in Regional, State, National, and Global Invention Conventions, showcasing their innovative ideas and problem-solving abilities.
