The Center for Research and Mentoring of Black Male Students and Teachers is dedicated to bridging research, theory, and practice to support Black male students and educators. Located in Bowie, Maryland, at 14000 Jericho Park Rd, Proctor Building, 233N, Bowie, Maryland 20715, US, the Center serves as a premier national leader and model for research, scholarship, evaluation, and mentorship. It also focuses on policies, theory, professional development, best practices, and services tailored for Black male students and teachers.
The Center for Research and Mentoring of Black Male Students and Teachers actively works to close the gap between theory, research, and practice through various initiatives. These include the Black Male Teacher Initiative Consortium, Black Males Teachers College Bowie, Black Male Educators and Leaders Alliance, and Minority Male Educator Endowed Scholarship Grants. The Center also conducts Research and Evaluation Scholars Fellow Programs and Speaker Series.
