The African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) is a pan-African network of centers of excellence dedicated to postgraduate training in mathematical sciences, research, and public engagement in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Founded in 2003, AIMS leads Africa’s socio-economic transformation through innovative scientific training, technological advances, cutting-edge scientific discoveries, and scientific foresight. With multiple locations, including its primary address in Muizenberg | Mbour | Accra | Limbe | Kigali, African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) is committed to developing Africa’s youth into independent thinkers, problem solvers, and innovators.

African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) offers a Master’s in mathematical sciences, including a co-operative option with a direct link to industry, the African Master’s in Machine Intelligence (AMMI), as well as various research programs. The AIMS Industry Initiative and a gender-responsive Teacher Training Program enhance the educational offerings. Additionally, Quantum Leap Africa and the Next Einstein Forum are critical initiatives created by AIMS to propel Africa onto the global scientific stage.
