AYDA International Awards is dedicated to fostering the next generation of architects and interior designers across Asia. As part of Nippon Paint’s initiative, AYDA is committed to cultivating talent and driving innovation within the design community. Through its extensive network and rigorous selection processes, AYDA identifies and mentors promising students, providing them with a platform to showcase their creative ideas on a national and international stage.

With a reach spanning 17 geographical locations and engaging over 1,200 tertiary education institutions, AYDA International Awards has significantly impacted the design landscape since its founding in 2008. The program culminates in an international competition where national winners are mentored by reputable industry professionals, enhancing their skills and broadening their perspectives. The initiative also connects with Harvard GSD’s alumni worldwide, facilitating collaboration between Harvard GSD and AYDA.

AYDA International Awards' commitment extends to offering the international grand title winner the opportunity to experience Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design’s ‘Design Discovery Program’ upon acceptance from Harvard GSD. With a primary presence in Singapore, and extending to Bangladesh, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, India, Iran, Japan, Malaysia, Pakistan, Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, Vietnam and Sri Lanka, AYDA continues to build a vibrant community of socially responsible designers.
