Company Description

Murujuga Aboriginal Corporation (MAC) is dedicated to preserving and protecting the land, heritage, and culture of its community while simultaneously working to enhance the lives of its people. Comprised of members from five traditional custodial groups—the Ngarluma, Mardudhunera, Yaburara, Yindjibarndi, and Wong-Goo-Tt-Oo peoples—Murujuga Aboriginal Corporation unites these groups to pave the way for future generations. MAC operates with deep respect for lore, heritage, and traditions, ensuring these values remain central to its mission. Located at Lot 501 Griffin Road, Burrup Peninsula (Murujuga), Western Australia 6713, AU, Murujuga Aboriginal Corporation plays a crucial role as the approved corporate body for the Burrup and Maitland Industrial Estates Agreement (BMIEA).

With a rich history dating back to its incorporation in 2006, Murujuga Aboriginal Corporation holds the freehold title to Murujuga National Park, which adjoins industrial land allocated by the WA Government for infrastructure and industrial development. The word Murujuga, meaning 'hipbone sticking out' in the Ngarluma language, refers to the Burrup Peninsula, Dampier Archipelago, and surrounding sea country—an area renowned for its extensive collection of rock art engravings (petroglyphs). Murujuga National Park stands as the 100th national park in Western Australia and is co-managed by Traditional Custodians and the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA), making it a unique and culturally significant site.

Murujuga Aboriginal Corporation is committed to working collaboratively to ensure the continued preservation of this unique cultural landscape. The corporation diligently balances cultural preservation with sustainable development, enhancing the well-being of the community. The Murujuga Aboriginal Corporation's dedication to community services ensures that the traditions, stories, and artistic heritage of Murujuga are passed on to future generations. We invite the manager of Murujuga Aboriginal Corporation to create a customized and exclusive company showcase and product listing on our platform.
