Essex Local Nature Partnership

The Essex Local Nature Partnership (LNP) is dedicated to fostering nature recovery throughout the county. Launched in March 2022, the Essex LNP unites local organizations, conservationists, local authorities, businesses, NGOs, and various entities committed to enhancing the local natural environment.

With over 40 organizations currently involved, the Essex Local Nature Partnership is structured with a Board and four active working groups. These groups collaborate on initiatives ranging from supporting farm clusters and local communities to promoting landscape recovery projects and biodiversity net gain policies. The Essex LNP strengthens the impact of local action for nature, creating larger, better, and more connected spaces for nature to thrive.

In 2024, the Essex Local Nature Partnership supports Essex County Council in the development of the Essex Local Nature Recovery Strategy. The LNP's comprehensive approach ensures a nature-rich and resilient Essex for future generations.
