Operating from its primary location at Waldeggstrasse 27, Liebefeld, Bern 3097, CH, Velafrica collects discarded bicycles in Switzerland, refurbishes them through a network of over 30 social enterprises, and ships them to countries including Tanzania, Burkina Faso, Madagascar, South Africa, Ivory Coast, Ghana, and Gambia.

Velafrica's initiatives significantly enhance access to essential services such as education, employment, and healthcare by providing reliable and affordable transportation. In addition to bicycle distribution, Velafrica actively develops vocational training programs in bicycle mechanics, empowering young individuals with valuable skills and creating employment opportunities in workshops, sales, and administration.
