Tunisian Young Climate Change Negotiators group

The Tunisian Young Climate Change Negotiators group is dedicated to fostering informed, representative, and youth-inclusive decision-making in climate negotiations. Launched in August 2021 under the guidance of the Tunisian Ministry of Environment, this initiative aims to amplify the country’s ambition in addressing the climate emergency. The group comprises 18 young activists from diverse professional backgrounds, each contributing expertise across various streams of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). Operating from its primary address in Tunis, TN, the Tunisian Young Climate Change Negotiators group actively supports the Tunisian Delegation in international negotiation processes. The group promotes meaningful youth engagement and participation in climate action, ensuring that the needs and demands of young people are heard and addressed. Furthermore, the Tunisian Young Climate Change Negotiators group leads national climate action activities, diligently monitoring the implementation of the enhanced Nationally Determined Contribution and the various articles of the Paris Agreement.
