The organization's work directly addresses systemic failures that prevent entrepreneurs in Black communities, Indigenous communities, and communities of color from accessing the financing their businesses need to thrive.

Operating as a community capital fund, REAL People's Fund offers equitable access to finance for small businesses, specifically targeting the historically disinvested East Bay communities within Alameda and Contra Costa Counties. Founded and democratically governed by six community organizing groups, REAL People's Fund distinguishes itself through its unique approach and deep community ties.
