People's Health Movement

People's Health Movement is a global network dedicated to addressing health inequities and promoting comprehensive primary health care. With a presence in approximately 80 countries, People's Health Movement unites grassroots health activists, civil society organizations, and academic institutions to advocate for fair economic structures that support better health outcomes for all. The organization is committed to addressing the social, environmental, and economic determinants of health, striving to reduce preventable deaths and improve overall well-being, particularly among the most vulnerable populations.

Located at Primary: 129 Rochester Road, Observatory, Western Cape 7925, ZA, People's Health Movement actively develops and implements various programs to achieve its mission. These initiatives include the Global Health Watch (GHW), an alternative world health report, WHO-Watch, which monitors and comments on the proceedings at WHO EB and WHA, and the International People's Health University (IPHU), focused on building capacity on the Politics of Health among health activists. People's Health Movement remains dedicated to its founding principles as outlined in the People’s Charter for Health (PCH).
