AfCFTA Youth Advisory Council

AfCFTA Youth Advisory Council is dedicated to galvanizing youth inclusion to attain a One Africa Market through the African Continental Free Trade Area Agreement. As a youth-led body, the AfCFTA Youth Advisory Council operates under the guidance of Youlead Africa, the MS TCDC, and the GIZ-African Union office. The council was officially launched on November 9th, 2021, by H.E. Jakaya Kikwete, Former President of the Republic of Tanzania, in the presence of the AfCFTA Secretariat Officials during the Youlead 2021 Africa Summit.

Based in Arusha, TZ, at MS TCDC, AfCFTA Youth Advisory Council emphasizes effective bottom-up approaches to mobilize and ensure the participation of young people in AfCFTA processes. With a network of Country Chapters, the council ensures proper coordination and mobilization of young individuals at the continental level, enabling them to learn more about and actively participate in the agreement's processes. AfCFTA Youth Advisory Council is committed to fostering youth leadership and engagement across Africa.
