Journal of Engineering Geology is a distinguished national publication dedicated to showcasing peer-reviewed, high-caliber research across all facets of engineering geology and emerging science and technology. Founded in 1985, the Journal of Engineering Geology particularly welcomes papers that integrate knowledge from diverse disciplines such as environmental engineering, geotechnics (soil mechanics and rock mechanics), and geophysics, emphasizing original and rigorous scientific results with broad significance. Located in Alborz, IR, the Journal of Engineering Geology is committed to open access, providing publications in both print and electronic formats.

With a rigorous triple-blind peer-review process ensuring impartiality between reviewers and authors, Journal of Engineering Geology publishes papers primarily in Persian with English abstracts, and annually features one English-language paper with Persian abstracts. To further support its contributors, the Journal of Engineering Geology offers free color printing for selected accepted papers, complimentary reprints, and a free journal copy.
