Algae Vertical is at the forefront of biotechnology research, driving the construction of a green future through a commitment to the Blue Bioeconomy Pact. As a distinguished Portuguese project spearheaded by Necton, Algae Vertical unites 38 entities from across the algae industry, fostering collaboration and innovation to advance sustainable products, optimize processes, and introduce groundbreaking services.

Co-financed by the Recovery and Resilience Plan and Next Generation EU Funds, Algae Vertical stands as a flagship initiative within the Blue Bioeconomy Pact agenda. This visionary pact aims to pioneer new economic models rooted in marine bioresources, establishing the first European hub dedicated to the blue bioeconomy. Led by Inovamar, the initiative represents a substantial investment of €133 million and boasts a robust network of 83 partners, ensuring comprehensive expertise and impactful results.
