Algaebrew focuses on developing scalable processes that harness the power of microalgae, specifically Nannochloropsis, to transform brewery wastewater and spent grain into valuable fatty acids. These fatty acids serve as sustainable ingredients for the feed industry, contributing to a more environmentally friendly and resource-efficient approach. The company's commitment extends beyond fatty acid extraction, with plans to convert residual algae biomass into biofertilizer, striving for a zero-waste operation. The research project addresses technical challenges associated with algae cultivation on brewery waste, fatty acid extraction, feed formulation, and socio-economic analysis.
