Celler Castell del Remei holds the distinction of being the first winery in Spain to plant Cabernet Sauvignon & Semillon grapes. Furthermore, it was the first Catalan producer to market its own branded, bottled, and matured wines. The estate itself is a historical landmark, featuring a castle with over 80 windows, a church, a public restaurant, cellars, and even an olive oil mill dating back to 1793. The vineyards, with an average age of 20 years, cultivate a variety of grapes, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Tempranillo, Garnacha, Syrah, Macabeo, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Pinot Noir.
