GIMAS actively works towards developing a strategic framework for the aeronautical and space sector, implementing plans for industrial acceleration. The organization federates, represents, and defends the interests of Moroccan aeronautical companies before public authorities and both national and international bodies. GIMAS ensures that its members' interests are well-represented across all platforms.

Through active participation in national and international exhibitions such as the Paris Air Show, Marrakech AirShow, Farnborough Airshow in London, and various Aeromarts, GIMAS promotes the growth and establishment of aerospace companies in Morocco. The organization also addresses the skills requirements of the aerospace sector by supporting the Institut des Métiers de l’Aéronautique (IMA), established in April 2011, and by integrating Research & Development into the national aeronautical strategy through partnerships with universities and engineering research centers.
