Led by Collins Aerospace, the COCOLIH2T project is focused on developing a disruptive concept that significantly reduces the impact of tank weight and volume within aircraft, all while ensuring system safety. Through novel fabrication technologies, COCOLIH2T aims to achieve a reduction of over 60% in production energy consumption and at least 50% in production time, leading to substantially lower manufacturing costs. The proposed multi-material thermoplastic composite tank structure is designed to facilitate seamless aircraft structural integration, supporting overall system weight reduction compared to conventional tank configurations.
