1st Special Forces Command (Airborne) - US Army stands as the Nation's premier Partnership Force, expertly navigating the complexities of global Great Power Competition. Operating as strategic sensors and influence networks, this elite command employs an indigenous approach to Irregular Warfare. Working collaboratively with Joint, Inter-agency, Inter-governmental, and Multinational (JIIM) partners, 1st Special Forces Command (Airborne) excels in observing adversaries' actions, influencing target audiences, and proactively competing against threats to our Nation.
Established on September 30, 2014, 1st Special Forces Command (Airborne) brings together Army Special Forces (Green Berets), Psychological Operations (PSYOP), Civil Affairs, and essential support troops. Functioning as a cohesive organization, 1st Special Forces Command (Airborne) assigns, equips, trains, certifies, and validates Army Special Operations Forces Soldiers and units to conduct global special operations in support of theater and national objectives.
On order, 1st Special Forces Command (Airborne) deploys as the Army core of the Special Operations Joint Task Force (SOJTF) HQs to command and control special operations, and/or coalition forces in support of global crisis response and contingency missions.
