HERWINGT's approach involves several key strategies, including pioneering wing configurations for improved aerodynamics, advanced wing structures with integrated systems and new material technologies for significant weight reduction, and the development of fuel systems compatible with Sustainable Aviation Fuels. These efforts will result in digital twins, a life cycle assessment of the wing system, and a roadmap toward full-scale wing demonstration at the aircraft level, along with a qualification and certification plan tailored for hybrid-electric regional aircraft.
